Job Description


We are looking for you as our new Corporate Accountant (m/f/x). In this role you will be part of our Corporate Accounting Team and responsible for the global Corporate Performance Management activities of the Straumann Group. It is the global hub for all financial accounting information and is responsible for Group accounting (in accordance with IFRS) and for Group consolidation. You will report to the Head Corporate Accounting and the position will be based in Basel. 


Your tasks



  • Preparation of the monthly group consolidation according to IFRS

  • Preparation of the annual group financial report

  • Subsidiary support (taking care of accounting questions / support financial closing)

  • Maintain and update internal manuals and policies

  • Support the integration of acquired companies (integration into group processes/ conducting training courses)

  • Maintain & develop the consolidation system SAP SEM-BCS (data model, function tests)

  • Support additional tasks of the department (budgeting, reporting)


Qualifications



  • University/FH degree with focus on finance and/or higher further education in accounting eg. certified public accountant / certified expert in accounting & controlling

  • More than 5 years of relevant financial experience in an international corporate environment and/or in auditing (Big4)

  • Solid accounting and practical IFRS knowledge

  • Experience in handling SAP ERP (in particular SAP FI/CO) and modern consolidation systems (e.g. SAP SEM-BCS, Hyperion Financial Management, Tagetik etc.)

  • Project management experience advantageous

  • English and German fluent, other languages advantageous

  • Assertive, resilient and result-oriented personality

  • Communicative team player
