What Is The Role We’re Hiring?

The Integrated Program Management Leader is responsible for ensuring program management (PM) excellence for the Global Garrett organization across all functions, especially Engineering and Customer Management/Sales teams covering bids, new product introduction (launches) and field issues resolution.  The position will define and execute the program governance strategy and project management methodologies, improve the PM talent development and resource allocation to improve speed, efficiency and effectiveness.  

•Lead an organization of over 70 Program managers - both directly and mostly indirectly, driving a portfolio of over 500 projects, and impacting project portfolio of $2B+ annual launch revenue •Facilitate on-time and within budget execution of program work scope  •Drive overall efficiency of the product development and launch activities through development of program management talent, oversight of project financial planning and control, and development of project management systems and processes  •Establish and operate the core processes for all product development and launch activities including planning and tracking of programs, management of the phase gate review process, and regular identification, escalation and resolution of issues •Collaborate with the Customer Management and Engineering leaders to establish processes and discipline in projects for on-time execution to phase exits, design freeze, PPAP, and SOP, assuring cross-functional coordination •Define and execute the long-term talent acquisition strategy, and drive functional and career development and talent management activities for the program management function •Ensure appropriate level of financial control on programs.  Implement processes and ensure execution of project financial planning and control •Develop management reporting dashboard to track key project management metrics and provide regular report out at leadership team meetings on development and launch execution •Develop and implement a formal process for handover of launched programs to the manufacturing organization.  Ensure a uniform approval process in each of the receiving plants •Lead resource analysis and forecasting by project for all cross functional resources including program management, engineering, supply base, NPI, prototyping, test, etc. •Define and implement project management systems (ePEP) and processes (PEP) to drive continuous improvement in PM efficiency and robustness •Drive PM excellence by benchmarking external PM organizations in processes, systems, and organizational design


You have these Basic Qualifications:

•BA/BS in Business or Engineering •10+ years of program management or business management experience


Additional Preferred Qualifications:

•MBA preferred •Automotive industry experience  •Strong leadership skills with cross-functional experience including engineering, commercial, and/or manufacturing •Experience in developing and applying program management tools and processes •Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to manage large investment portfolios •Strong oral and written and executive presentation skills •Experience leading large, cross-functional and geographically diverse teams to high levels of productivity while building global talent  •Strong communication skills, able to simplify complexity in order to drive organizational alignment and key decisions •High bias for action and integrative problem-solving skills •PMP certification •Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
