DSM Nutritional Products is a world leading supplier of vitamins, carotenoids and other nutritional solutions with three market-facing entities: Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH), Human Nutrition & Health (HNH) and Personal Care & Aroma Ingredients.

 

DSM ANH addresses the global feed ingredients markets for poultry, swine, aquaculture, ruminants and pets. For all these segments, DSM is a full and leading value chain player, providing active ingredients, delivery systems and nutritional and premix solutions both globally and at a local level. We focus on the nutritional ingredients and additives segments of these markets. DSM's expertise in specialty animal nutritional solutions means we are perfectly placed to benefit from the global animal nutrition and health market's drive to improve production efficiency in response to the growing demand for animal protein, while at the same time reducing the environmental impact of farming.

 

The Challenge:

 

In this role, your overall responsibility is to develop winning strategies in the rapidly evolving enzymes market in close cooperation with the species marketing and technical teams. Coming from the need for breakthrough solutions for the key species in Animal Nutrition, you develop commercial offers in combination with other technologies and services to win in the market place.  You will interact closely with key functions in the ANH organization, both at a global and regional level.

 

Based in Kaiseraugst, near Basel in Switzerland, you will report to the Vice President Enzymes & Eubiotics.

 

The Position:

 

• Develop category strategies for enzymes (including combination of technologies into winning solutions)


• Drive implementation of enzymes initiatives via species strategies and across functions


• Manage category portfolio (including registrations) and co-lead key product launches


• Develop cross-species value propositions for new products and solutions in the category


• Drive price optimization for maximum value capture in the market


• Gain market insights in close collaboration with other functions and share with global species marketing and senior decision makers


• Shape and implement Technical Service activities to ensure technical expertise in global and regional teams


• Initiate and maintain external networks to foster industry partnerships


• Co-develop and drive critical projects in cooperation with R&D, Innovation and Marketing teams

 

The Ideal:

 

• Master’s and/or PhD in Science (e.g. Nutrition, Chemisty, Biochemistry, Biology); MBA preferred or alternatively business degree with very solid understanding of the Life Science industry


• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the Life Science, chemical or nutrition. Consulting experience is a plus


• Very strong business acumen paired with analytical and strategic planning skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for the business


• Excellent networker with the ability to engage and inspire people across all hierarchy levels


• Proven leadership skills, cultural sensitivity


• Flexibility to travel up to 50% globally


• Fluent in English
