Operations Data Engineer

Your responsibilities:

As an Operations Data Engineer, you will work in close collaboration with the operations and security operations teams to provide business, process and operations intelligence to them. You will deliver immense value to our management and customers by turning data into information, information into insight and insight into business change. If you are passionate about creating beautiful visualisations that let the data tell a story accurately as well as outline critical information required to make impactful operational and business decisions, Open Systems can offer you a dynamic environment to achieve this.

In this role you will find yourself performing the following duties:

• Design, construct and test operational metrics that help guide operational decisions


• Interpret data, analyse results and identify trends in complex datasets from multiple sources


• You will work in close cooperation with the operations, development and management teams to prioritise business and information needs


• You will develop, perform and troubleshoot data analysis, visualisations and dashboards for management reporting

Your qualifications:

• BSc in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field


• Understanding of SQL-based technologies (e.g. PostgreSQL and MySQL)


• An understanding of data structure and data transformation


• A passion for data together with an ability to create beautiful graphics with appealing and eye-catching visuals


• Knowledge in the areas of operational or ITSM metrics
