As Dfinity’s IT Manager in Zurich, you will be responsible for all of the IT functions of the office including Networking, IT Operations, Infrastructure, and Security.  Partnering with Global IT, you will help build IT’s role in Zurich from the ground up.  


Responsibilities:



  • Partner with Global IT, internal stakeholders and vendors to provide secure and automated solutions

  • Be responsible for Corporate IT Assets and software

  • Protect the company by implementing and administering security policies and solutions 

  • Make peoples’ days better by solving their technical issues and providing a smooth onboarding experience

  • Provide amazing day-to-day support of our hardware, application and audio/visual conferencing systems

  • Manage and maintain a physical server farm including the associated infrastructure, e.g. racking, cabling, documenting, and monitoring as needed. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as reported.


Background and Skills:



  • 4+ years of hands-on IT Experience

  • Supported desktop OS’s; should be current MacOS, Windows and Linux Desktops.

  • Provided application support: Google Apps. Gmail, Google Drive

  • Networking experience (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, VPN, cabling, Firewalls, Switches) Meraki preferred

  • Server Room Experience/Data Center Experience:  basic rack and server management including cabling, monitoring, and physical hardware installation

  • Experienced with physical server diagnostic tools, (memory, CPU, fan, hard drive,etc) \

  • Vendor management experience

  • Supported Managed Endpoints, Endpoint Protection and MDM solutions

  • Additional experience supporting the following is a bonus: Coupa, Jira/ Confluence Administrator, AWS, Okta, Duo, Zoom; Audio Visual systems, Github, Slack

  • Demonstrable documentation skills

  • Verbal and written fluency in English and intermediate German or Swiss German communication skills

  • Valid passport and ability to travel on occasion (~10%) to the US
