Our global Project Execution team is seeking to hire a Chief Installation Supervisor (m/f) with a wide range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Duties


  • Responsible for all site related installation activities in order to deliver the project successfully, on time, in the right quality and safely to the client according to the contractual obligations

  • Lead by example in driving safe practices on site: Implement a Site Safety culture during the installation phase to achieve safe construction practices (zero accidents) and a high quality of installation

  • Implement the necessary OHS procedures within the scope of work to including preparation of method statements, risk analyses, safety walks, toolbox talks etc.

  • Monitor progress of construction against the program and take steps to ensure the program is achieved e.g. mitigation/ implement preventive actions

  • Supervise the planning, preparation and execution of the installation work within the scope of supply associated to the project

  • Ensure that the personnel assigned is fully familiar with the site specific rules, safety regulations, envi-ronmental protection measures, PPE, engineering documents and that they perform their work accordingly

  • Responsible to lead the subcontractor or a technical team in order to achieve all Installation milestones safely, in the right quality and within the budgeted costs

  • Keep a diary to record daily work, occurrences, problems, special information, etc. plus a list of pending items and provides technical experience feedback to Project Management and the Project Execution departments

  • Liaise with the Project Management Office to establish, implement and maintain operating standards to ensure excellent quality project results and high customer satisfaction
Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as Installation Supervisor or Construction Manager

  • Technical and commercial knowledge covering multiple disciplines

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with site teams and motivate them to meet the project objectives

  • Strong planning, organizing and priority-setting skills, with a proven ability to manage teams

  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills, sound judgment and decision-making skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and German and preferably a third language such as French or Spanish

  • Pragmatism, respectful, loyal and flexible
