Head of Global R&D Project Management

ROLE:

The Senior Director R&D Project Management is the owner and point of reference for the Ferring R&D project management. He coordinates and leads all Global Project Directors, overseeing project progress from research until commercialization. He/she is responsible for delivering the overall project plans to the agreed timelines, costs and quality standards. He/she is recognized as an expert for project management and owns the project manual.

In addition, she/he will undertake the responsibility of Senior Global Project Director for one of our most prominent assets, demonstrating the core project management values through this major oncology programme.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the management of the Global Project Directors team


• Global Project Director and decision maker for the project within the approved plan and budget.


• Sign off on major deliverables and approve to proceed to each proceeding project Phase together with line management.  Keep the project within the scope of approved activities


• Prepare & review changes of scope before presentation to the governance committee.


• Recognized as an expert for project management and owns the project manual.


• Reviews, challenge and leads all Projects in portfolio, overseeing project progress from research until commercialization


• Reviews all Global Development Plans, Project Initiation Document, Clinical path and Target Product Profiles


• Consolidation of all R&D portfolio progress, ensuring adherence to governance decisions, report on risk and opportunities, propose proactive solutions.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCES:

• Master of Science / Medical Doctor, MBA or PhD preferred (Pharmacy, medical sciences degree)


• 10+ years of experience in oncology project management


• Experience in budget preparations


• Experience in leading a team of senior managers


• Experience in 3rd parties negotiation & technology transfer
