And we need you to join our Global Distribution team at Männedorf, Zurich as

Head of Global Distributors 80-100%

What you will do

In this challenging position you will develop and lead the Distributors for our Tecan Life Science Business globally. This activity includes strategy development and implementation in order to maximize the growth potential and apply the best distributor practices across the organization.

Responsibilities will include

• Oversee the leadership and organizational development of the distributors management team


• Define and implement a distribution growth plan in line with the overall company objectives, in order to meet the set targets and business plans


• Own any business model changes and implement improvements


• Set targets to distributors and support them with the appropriate tools


• Ensure distributors are adequately trained for marketing, sales, applications and service


• Travel internationally to visit the distributors and customers,


• Network with key opinion leaders and distributors to drive the business


• Implement distribution policies and export compliance rules for the commercial operations


• Feedback market intelligence, pricing and competitive landscape, customer requirements, trend analysis into strategy

What you bring along

• Technical education e.g. in engineering or natural science (Master or higher)


• MBA would be an asset


• Global Distributors management experience


• Ten to fifteen years working experience, ideally for a leading life science vendor


• Leadership experience (leading teams and working in cross-functional capacity)


• Sound scientific and strong commercial understanding


• Strong analytical skills to perform analysis of the market, competitors, product positioning and prices


• English is a must, German a plus, and any other language beneficial


• Entrepreneurial Can do attitude


• Strong customer focus
