The program will accelerate the generation of data-driven insights significantly, to unlock the next breakthrough in innovative medicines for patients.



As Product Owner – data42, you will be fully accountable for defining and developing data products, from defining the value proposition to delivering it to users. You will provide direction to a dedicated product team and work closely with all relevant stakeholders. You will inspire the team with an entrepreneurial mindset and the courage to push for innovation. You will work in fully agile fashion, supported by other product and support teams in a nimble program organization.



Your responsibilities:



• In consultation with the Global Program Teams, drive the product definition and implementation from strategy to product roadmap to sprint management, documentation and operations, with full accountability for product delivery

• Ensure processing of data along a data value chain, including data ingestion, unification, anonymization and analytics to generate insights

• Establish and manage teams of individuals with diverse backgrounds; encourage transparency and coordination, surface bottlenecks and communicate learnings to other teams and team members

• Work closely with users from joint product definition to product demos after each sprint/release and appropriate communication and training

• Create, maintain and prioritize the product backlog




Minimum requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:



• MSc or PhD in life sciences, medicine or related scientific area. A second degree in data sciences, statistics or engineering discipline preferred

• Fluent English (oral & written) language skills

• Extensive experience (5+ years) in the life sciences or healthcare industry, with significant & relevant cross-/multi-functional leadership experience

• Experience of working on tech or analytical projects, with a deep understanding of users and state-of-the-art technology options

• Hands on understanding of clinical (e.g. SDTM, ADaM), omics, image and RWE data, e.g. as clinical trial lead or project manager. Scientific knowledge to understand the question & challenge business owners for depth and hypothesis validation



Desirable skills:

• Previous experience of working in an agile environment

• Demonstrated Product Management knowledge

• Experience of working with data engineering and data science teams
