Service Engineer (m/f) for the CA Bay Area USA

Your tasks

• Installation, maintenance and repair of our high-tech automated systems


• Technical consulting on our systems to ensure maximum operational capability and 110% customer satisfaction


• Promote our customer care contracts


• Co-operate closely with our automation chemists and business managers to provide technical support


• Actively communicate customer needs and requirements to our service & support management and to the R&D department


• Support production department and perform final tests of tools and equipment


• Training of distributors and new or third party service engineers

Requirements

• Solid education in electrical & mechanical engineering and/or 3 years of experience in repair and maintenance of instrumentation used in chemical laboratories (e.g. parallel synthesizers, liquid handlers, auto samplers, HPLC)


• Enjoy direct contact with customers and frequent travel (worldwide, approx. 50 – 60 %)


• General understanding of typical workflows in chemistry laboratories is a huge plus


• Definite customer orientation and confidence to work independently


• Solid communication skills in English, knowledge of any further language is a plus


• Solid user experience with Microsoft office products Excel and Word
