Editor Inflight Magazines 40% (m, f, diverse)

We are looking for a motivated, flexible person with several years of experience in journalism and/or editing, who actively supports our team.


In the function "Editor Inflight Magazines" you will contribute to the production of our in-flight magazine "SWISS Magazine", which is published ten times a year. You take on a wide variety of tasks throughout the entire production process, from planning, researching, writing and editing the texts to the implementation in collaboration with the design agency. You work together with internal and external stakeholders.


 


Your duties



  • Editorial implementation of the magazine contents

  • Assistance with topic search and research for articles

  • Editing of submitted articles

  • Writing articles on various topics

  • Placing of orders (including briefing and fee negotiations) with external journalists and photographers

  • Coordination and cooperation with external service providers (design agency, translators, and proofreaders)

  • Assessment and response to enquiries from external journalists/photographers


Your profile



  • University or college degree in journalism, languages or communication

  • Several years of professional experience as a journalist and/or editor

  • Stylish, experienced and quick to write articles in German on a wide variety of topics (German as a native language or similar)

  • Very good written and oral skills in English, French advantageous

  • Quick comprehension, networked thinking

  • Feeling for exciting stories and people

  • Good organizational skills, efficient way of working, creative flair

  • High level of commitment, initiative and commitment
