What we do

 


The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. We take action in response to emergencies and at the same time promote respect for international humanitarian law. We are an independent and neutral organization, and our mandate stems essentially from the Geneva Conventions of 1949. 


Purpose

 


The EUC platform responsible for a complex mix of works with an end-user vision. Your key role is to define the purpose, validate it and ensure the EUC roadmap follow up and implementation. You will bring external competencies, trends and network in order to bring the orientation of the platform up to date. 


As EUC platform responsible, you are the process manager of the deployment workflow, sanity checks, documentation (VSM, Fine3Docs), communication and coordination with the change manager, Enterprise Architect and all the following deployments and daily tasks. 


The team is the Level 3 support, for EUC applications, managing field infrastructure and OSX clients at ICRC infrastructure contact point.


Main responsibilities

 


Checks and delivery:



  • Strategy and deployment planning (Process manager), manage and follow open change requests. Ensures consistency of the field environment through the maintenance

  • For standard applications "off the shelf" management with packaging design and specification, planning, deployment, construction, UAT tests including sanity checks

  • For business applications, manage the receipt of deliverables packaging: coordination of sanity check with L3 and do the communication with the Field or give information to the change manager. Follow the deployment

  • Able to propose Modern Management with WorkspaceOne

  • Planning of the field deployments that impact the end-users workstations or requiring training of the workplace field teams

  • Identify and describe the software needed by the end-user, manage the software catalog - adding new services, managing the life cycle, etc

  • Responsible for the operational documentation in VSM / FINE DOC

  • Assure the LAB quality

  • Coordinate and help the tests with EUC Level 2


 


Projects:



  • Participate as a key player and contributor in projects with an impact on field servers, end-users, workstations, requiring training of field workplace teams

  • Leads and is accountable for tests and maintenance of field servers when updating the master server


Other:



  • Collaborate with Application Coordinator and be the backup support

  • Provide support and analyze the problems of Level 3 support for OSX at ICRC Infrastructure contact points

  • Follow project deployment and update the workflow file

  • Keeps with the most recent trends and future of EUC technologies and/or methodologies

  • Give statistics about deployment


Education and experience required

 



  • Engineering degree in ICT

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of field experince as and ICT engineer is a must

  • Fluent in French and English, knowledge of Spanish is an asset

  • Proven knowledge and experience with systems and technologies - WorkspaceOne, SCCM, MSI, Windows 10/8.1, Windows Server 2016/2008R2, Hyper-V, Lotus Notes Domino, SQL 2008, OSX

  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to connect and network with various stakeholders

  • Ability to coordinate and opearte between multi-ICT functional teams and end users

  • Good analytical, synthesis and reporting skills

  • Capability to educate, train and simplify technical content to the end user
