Job Purpose:




• Provide support to the Citi Country Officer in the management of the Citi Switzerland franchise including data gathering and analysis, presentations, briefings, coordination and meeting preparations.


• Increase the strength of the Citi franchise by assisting in deepening and strengthening the relationships with our key clients through market, business and competitor analysis and developing a thorough understanding of our service model.


• Periodic franchise wide and business specific projects 


Job Background/context:


Citi in Switzerland has 9 legal vehicles with employees sitting in two separate locations.  The franchise is composed of a large, complex Private Bank used as a booking centre, along with a number of other significant businesses including the third largest Corporate and Investment Banking business in continental Europe, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Markets and Trust.




The role supports the Citi Country Officer in management of the Citi franchise in Switzerland, Monaco and Liechtenstein utilizing skills such as analysis, organization and planning, forecasting and presenting in the implementation of projects and initiatives, generation of new content and preparation of country and business reviews.




Key Responsibilities:




• Franchise Coordination:




- Country Coordination Committee meeting preparation including agenda, presentations, minutes and follow-up tracking.

- Non-Presence and Limited Presence Country governance including CCC and BRCC material prep, monitoring country visits and account openings and closures, regulatory change and annual/ad hoc governance guide review.

- Annual International Franchise Management survey.

- Country Risk management including cross border exposure analysis and Scenario Plan completion.

- Preparation of presentations, speeches and briefing notes for the CCO for the orientation and preparation ahead of senior Citi and external visitors, as well as for external engagement to assist in building the Citi brand in Switzerland.

- Assist with preparation for CCO Town Hall meetings.

- Preparation of briefing notes on regulators, US officials and other official visitors to Switzerland.




• Strategic Business Projects and Reviews:




- Support the regular strategy reviews of the country and business through coordination of the business and function heads in country as well as Regional Senior Management of Products and Functions.

- Business analysis across divisions including ad hoc target market, client, product and strategic reviews.

- Assist with the country-wide Swiss Digital initiative, tracking workstreams, coordinating meetings and follow-ups, etc.

- Analyze market and economic environment to determine possible outcomes and impact for Switzerland (e.g. Brexit, Chinese BRI, currency movements, Interest rates, SNB policy, Regulatory change, etc.)




And any other tasks and projects as assigned to the incumbent.

Qualifications


Knowledge/Experience:




We are looking for a highly motivated individual who demonstrates strong interpersonal skills as well as analytical abilities.




• Recent graduate with either internship or up to 18 months’ work experience in the financial industry

• Experience of analysing financial data and financial modelling would be preferred 




Skills:




• Advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint skills

• Ability to work efficiently within a team environments and as an individual contributor

• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); Ability to communicate confidently will staff irrespective of seniority

• Ability to present information in a clear, creative and persuasive manner

• Ability to efficiently plan and organise workload from various sources within tight deadlines

• Fluent in English (written/verbal); German an advantage

• Analytical and numerate - Assimilating new information quickly

• Produce high quality work with strong attention to detail

• High self-discipline




Qualifications:




• Successful candidates will usually have obtained a degree or equivalent in finance, economics or business administration.  Candidates who do not match this profile will not be automatically excluded from consideration
