Software Application Administrator & Supporter (m/f/diverse)

SWISS Technics is responsible for the technical maintenance and safety of the fleet. In today’s digital age, a variety of specialized software applications are utilized in daily operation – for example, maintenance tasks are no longer captured in a logbook but instead, they are entered in a tablet. As part of the Technics Application Management team, you are responsible for the support of innovative software solutions. Furthermore, you act as a main contact within SWISS Technics for providing project support to implement new digital solutions. Your workplaces are the SWISS offices in Kloten as well as the aircraft hangar and you closely collaborate with team colleagues, SWISS IT, end-users as well as suppliers on a day-to-day basis.


 


Your duties



  • Administer and support various software applications used in Technics, e.g. CROSSMOS ELB, FlyDocs

  • Collaborate with end users, SWISS IT and suppliers in troubleshooting and resolving application, network and other IT-related issues

  • Coordinate and control the release of software updates and other IT changes with SWISS IT and suppliers

  • Manage user access rights and permissions in accordance with defined standards

  • Handle user-tickets in OTRS and provide feedback to end users

  • Analyze business requirements and write specification for new functions and interfaces between core applications (e.g. AMOS) and other systems

  • Roll out new functions including testing, configuration and documentation

  • Shape the Technics application landscape by participating in digitalization projects and supporting the implementation of new tools and processes

  • Identify application and hardware usability shortcomings and initiate improvements and/or trainings


Your profile



  • Degree in IT-Administration or similar

  • Experience with Microsoft and Apple hardware and operating systems within a networked environment

  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications

  • Rapid acquaintance with complicated IT system landscapes

  • Good knowledge of economics and business administration

  • Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills and technical aptitude

  • IT Security know-how advantageous

  • Aviation experience and maintenance know-how advantageous

  • Eager to learn and acquire a detailed understanding of SWISS Technics processes

  • Good verbal and written communication skills adapted to target audience

  • Fluent in both English and German

  • Driver’s License
