On behalf of our client, a big player in the energy sector, we are searching for a Senior Purchasing Manager, immediately available!
Requirements:
• Process responsible for the procurement processes within projects or within their defined product groups
• Technical guidance (dotted line) of local and decentralized procurement managers and operational buyers in the plants
• Intensive exchange of expertise with other purchasing functions within the division as well as at group level
• Responsibility for the implementation and compliance of procurement processes in the division within the scope of divisional and group specifications
• Responsible for the continuous improvement and further development of the relevant processes
• Reduction of suppliers to an economically reasonable number
• In-depth understanding of procurement-relevant framework conditions, requirements and needs
• Reduction of procurement complexity, especially about technical characteristics and special features, in order to increase harmonization or standardization
• Increase the efficiency of purchasing processes, in connection with a reduction of the purchase-relevant process costs
• Responsibility and execution of professional tendering procedures
• Preparation, implementation and follow-up / success review of negotiations with suppliers / service providers
• Risk management and minimization
• Ensure that delivery reliability and quality requirements are guaranteed by the selected suppliers
• Supplier management: Selection, evaluation / classification and control of suitable suppliers in regard to the project requirements (B.B. quality and delivery reliability)
• Monitoring and analysis of the procurement market for the early detection of specific trends
• Support and development of new suppliers
Profile:
• Technical or business education with university or university degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineer, etc.)
• Further certifications with a focus on purchasing, for example a Swiss Federal Dipl. Purchaser/Manager or comparable degree or equivalent professional experience
• German, English business fluent, other languages are desirable
• 5+ professional experience in purchasing
• Procurement knowledge in the energy sector (markets, suppliers, processes, systems, product groups) is an advantage
• Experience in matrix organizations desirable
• Good knowledge of computer science (especially ERP and SRM systems, MS Office package, preferably SAP)
