Here at Celgene, we are seeking our next forward-thinking colleague – as we continue becoming an emerging global leader in cell therapy, our Commercial Operations team is seeking an Associate Director of Global Marketing to focus on our CAR T (Chimeric Antigen Receptor T cell) franchise.

As we further our commitment to researching and commercialising cell therapies, this person will lead the development of elements of the Global CAR T commercial delivery model, becoming a critical member of the global marketing team.

Supporting the implementation of the CAR T Commercial operating model in the WorldWide Markets (WWM) region (all countries outside the USA), you will ensure a consistent best-in-class delivery of Celgene’s CAR T therapies.

Being based in our International HQ in Boudry (Neuchatel), Switzerland, you will be a core member of the WWM cross-functional Launch Team, as you pro-actively contribute to the implementation of the CAR T operating model. Closely collaborating with the Global Marketing team members, you will develop optimal working relations with other relevant functions (including Medical Affairs, Public Affairs, Business Planning, Regulatory, Patient Operations and Supply chain)

In addition to becoming a critical partner to the affiliate CAR T teams who are preparing the local launches, you will also establish and maintain excellent partnership and relationships at all levels of the organization and with the cross-functional team members. For that reason, you will share accountability for country operational implementation with local marketers and provide guidance aligned with the global strategy.

A our clinical studies within the CAR T domain continue at great pace, this person will be at the forefront of an exciting medical frontier, using their previous Marketing experience to ensure successful launches.

One of the key success factors of this role will be the development and execution of strategies to respond to unique or challenging market, as well as treatment dynamics inherent with CAR T introduction – we are seeking candidates who can thrive in a fast paced, action oriented, collaborative and values-based culture.

As a natural leader, a self-starter, and someone with a passion to make a difference, you will use your demonstrated ability to work independently while also participating as a core team member (something which is critical to the success of this role). You can also accommodate travel, roughly twice per month.
 
“A day in the life of” – your responsibilities will include:



  • Implementing the global CAR T treatment site onboarding plan, as you work in partnership with affiliates and global cross-functional representatives

  • Being responsible for assuring launch readiness for individual countries, making sure the pull-through of Global guidance in local launch readiness plans.

  • You will lead the semi-annual CAR T capacity-assessment process in WWM, as to ensure appropriate solutions are defined and implemented

  • You will be responsible for the implementation and progress tracking of decisions from the WWM cross-functional CAR T team

  • As you coordinate customer advisory board meetings, you will increase our understanding of programs and services required that will provide a best in class Celgene CAR T experience

  • Representing Global Marketing in WWM initiatives and meetings on CAR T Coalition, ETMP policy etc., as you contribute to the development of a flawless / best in class globally integrated CAR T operating model

  • Effectively partnering with global and affiliate marketing, medical and market access colleagues, you will ensure the launch readiness of key deliverables which reflect optimal programs and services within the model

Your background comprises…



  • You possess significant experience developing / driving brand and or franchise plans – due to business requirements, we can only consider candidates who have this experience from the pharmaceutical marketplace

  • Proven working experience in the field of hematology is a must

  • We are seeking for you have a proven background (5+ years) in a Commercial or Marketing function, gained within the pharmaceutical industry



  • As this is a new frontier for Celgene, we are looking to candidates who have experience leading a specialty launch and new product development

  • You possess (as minimum) a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), which is essential

  • If you are qualified to MBA or post-graduate-level, that is preferred but not essential

  • With an advanced understanding of marketing principles, you will have excellent technical aptitude, strategic thinking and marketing ability
