ABOUT VIU

VIU is a young and innovative eyewear label from Switzerland. We have set out to revolutionize the market for designer eyewear with our direct-to-consumer business model. Cutting out middle men we are able to combine highest quality with fair prices. VIU glasses are designed in Zurich and handmade in Italy and Japan. We offer a unique customer experience in more than 50 flagship stores across Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK & Scandinavia as well as our online store. Our main office locations are Zurich and Munich.

THE JOB

We are looking for a Industrial Designer or Accessories Designer for our Headquarters in Zurich. Our multi-disciplinary approach to projects requires a diverse range of skills, and the successful applicant would be working within the Product & Design Team. Do you want to bring in your ideas and entrepreneurial drive to help shape the success story of a young and growing company? Start: immediately/by agreement

YOUR TASKS

• Trend research from fashion and eyewear markets


• Concept generation and presentation


• Technical design documentation for prototype requests and changes


• Responsible maintaining an up-to-date prototypes photo archive

YOUR PROFILE

• Finished or ongoing bachelor studies in Product Design, Industrial Design or Accessory Design


• Strong hand sketching, vector graphics and Adobe Illustrator skills


• Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills


• Fluency in English, German is a plus


• Design abilities in Adobe Photoshop, Solidworks and KeyShot are a plus
