Development Operations Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated DevOps Engineer (m/f/d) to work with our digitalization team, to build and run new projects as well as to support the development of current digital solutions. The successful candidate will participate in Oerlikon Balzers digitalization setup and management on AWS, on-premise servers including Couchbase, Node.JS applications, MariaDB etc. You will manage and enhance the CI/CD setup of our services and design and implement tools to automate operational aspects for building and deployment of infrastructure and application services.

This position can be located at one of the following Oerlikon Balzers locations: Czech Republic, Poland, Austria or Slowakia.

Responsibilities

• Establish and run the continuous integration pipeline


• Take care of scalability of the Docker images


• Monitor system health of digitalization apps and services


• Migrate digital apps to the Amazon Web Services infrastructure


• Enable usage of new technology based on Amazon Web Services


• Responsible for the enterprise service bus in place

We expect

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science


• Strong software engineering background including system architecture, distributed computing


• Experience building scalable infrastructures on AWS


• Experience scaling and maintaining microservice architectures


• Proficient with Docker or Kubernetes


• Knowledge of Java, Shell scripts, database technology


• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures


• Knowledge about Linux operating systems


• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Gitlab runner as well as Node.js


• Innovative and enjoy going the extra mile to reach success


• Advanced English-knowledge required, German language skills desired
