MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB


Reporting to the VP Customer Experience and Business Transformation EMEA, you will be responsible for leading our large-scale transformation initiative in customer training and education in EMEA. 


 


MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Lead the transformation of customer education in EMEA. Build a regional centre of expertise to support and elevate Customer Education to meet healthcare providers evolving needs across all five of Medtronic’s business groups. 

  • Represent Medtronic Customer Education externally to build relationships with medical societies and health care providers Build an alliance of strategic partnerships with academic and medical institutions to advance the focus on patient outcomes in customer education.

  • Represent Medtronic Customer Education internally to influence and align with global and country level initiatives.  Partner effectively with EMEA leadership teams to establish buy-in and support.  Partner with internal teams (Medical, Clinical, and Healthcare Economics) toward the same goal.

  • Oversee the design, development, and delivery of an innovative customer education curriculum and methodologies to enable the transformation toward value-based healthcare.

  • Establish and apply effective and innovative KPIs to measure value-based healthcare training and education operations

  • Direct and Indirect People Leadership – 200+ size organisation including indirect oversight of a customer event management team based in Prague.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS



  • University degree (a degree in medicine would be a significant advantage)

  • 15+ years’ experience in medical affairs / healthcare industry

  • 10+ years people management experience

  • Excellent spoken & written English and very proficient in at least one other major language from the EMEA region

  • Passion for the Medtronic Mission.  Passion for Learning.

  • Travel ~50% in EMEA


JOB EXPERIENCE



  • Proven track record in leading large-scale, multicultural projects in a multinational environment

  • Experience building and negotiating strategic partnerships with medical and or academic institutions

  • Experience working in a complex matrix environment

  • Experience driving innovation

  • Experience leading for results on the “what” and the “how”

  • Excellent judgment and integrity in the application of Medtronic compliance and regulatory policies

*This role can be expanded to include Internal Sales Training & Education during FY20
