<p>(100%)</p><p>The University of Basel is the oldest university in Switzerland, it counts over 12'000 students and 4'300 researchers in 7 faculties active in domains from humanities, economy to natural sciences.</p><p><b>Your position</b><br/>Position for a molecular biology research associate (technician) is available at the Center for Transgenic Models at the University of Basel. The Center for transgenic models (CTM) Basel is committed to supporting Uni Basel scientists by providing them the latest mouse transgenic and assisted reproduction technologies. Our service platform offers a wide range of technologies from pronuclear microinjection to genome engineering using Cas9/CRISPR systems. The lab also develops novel gene delivery techniques while at the same time implementing the 3R principles for responsible animal experimentation.</p><p>Main responsibilities include:</p><li>Cloning of transgenes, targeting vectors, TALEN and CRISPR/Cas9 constructs</li><li>Mouse genotyping including development of new genotyping protocol</li><li>Basic mouse colony management</li><li>Laboratory management, ordering, record keeping</li> <p><b>Your profile</b><br/>The successful applicant is expected to strengthen our transgenic team by supporting our genome-engineering services platform and mouse colony management. The candidate will have extensive skills in molecular biology (cloning, PCR) and have excellent organization skills.
