Deutsche Bank Research is responsible for macro and microanalysis within Deutsche Bank Group and acts as consultant for the bank, its clients and stakeholders. We analyse relevant trends for the bank in financial markets, the economy and society and highlight risks and opportunities. Deutsche Bank Research delivers high-quality, independent analysis and actively promotes public debate on economic, fiscal, labour market and social policy issues.


Position Overview


Key responsibilities and requirements:



  • Management of the local Operations Team ensuring adhering to policies, processes and procedures and assist in formulating new procedures

  • Ensure efficient team structure through effective resource management, focusing on ensuring correct skills for roles and optimum resourcing level for the team under your remit

  • Manage and mentor your direct reports, actively engaging with them through team and individual meetings and the staff performance process

  • Motivate, challenge and ensure staff is trained as required to fulfill their roles

  • Ensures compliance, audit and security requirements are met

  • Gathering, validating and objectively analyzing relevant information to identify key issues, drawing sound conclusions and making decisions on the appropriate course of action

  • Provides clear direction and vision to their team and clears roadblocks within their group

  • Drives a performance culture throughout the office by setting clearly defined relevant objectives and giving constructive feedback

  • Establish and maintain close relationship with local business partners

  • Lead the transition of tasks to strategic hubs

  • Build up the retained organization in country, for example but not limited to:

    • Ownership and Management of outsourced service

    • Regulatory oversight

    • Interface management and close co-operation with local and global stakeholders

    • Ownership of issues and incidents

    • Responsibility for requirements regarding Quality Management, Risk and Control and Regulatory


  • Structuring and leading projects


Skills knowledge and experience:



  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant banking experience with knowledge and experience of working in an operations environment

  • University degree in business administration or equivalent qualification

  • In-depth knowledge of Trade Finance products and operations

  • Experience in dealing with off-shore centers in India

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and fluent in English and Hindi in both written and verbal

  • A high degree of accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail

  • Project Management Experience

  • Extensive analytical skills and solution-oriented problem solving

  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills, agile mindset and profound decision making skills

  • Strong inter-personal skills and strong leadership capabilities including delegation skills

  • Ability to lead and motivate a team

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in virtual global teams

  • Distinct client and service orientation

  • Innovative approach to work and continuously identify and implement process improvements

  • Structured & determined approach to work, a willingness to take ownership of problems and an ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels
