Key responsibilities:


As the HR Business Advisor, you are responsible for embedding the people strategy in the regional and/or global divisions that you will support by providing guidance and execution capabilities for the division, ensuring adherence to local/global policies and regulatory requirements.  


You will interact with managers at all levels and their Chief Operating Officers (COOs) in- and outside Switzerland to provide HR practical advice and service to both address on demand/urgent issues as well as help to strategically drive results.  Additionally, you will coach managers with regional or global responsibility on leadership and critical individual HR cases and provide HR consultation for employees in Switzerland and Europe.


You will be required to work closely with other members of the HR team, locally and globally, and you will report directly to the HR Country Head of Switzerland. Responsibilities and tasks include:



  • Supporting Leaders, with a focus on our Wealth Management division, to drive organisational development in their teams across Switzerland and Europe

  • Providing professional, timely advice and guidance to managers and employees on specific functional subject areas consistent with the Bank’s strategy, ensuring adherence to Bank policy and relevant legal/regulatory frameworks

  • Delivering people programmes and projects in line with the organisational strategy and local regulatory and legal requirements

  • Implementing talent management, succession planning and promotion processes and supporting Managers in developing their people

  • Acting as key advisor for managers to identify, manage and appropriately reward high and low performance, including embedding principles of total performance, delivering annual pay review process and facilitating the management of underperformance through performance management

  • Advising, training and supporting Managers on complex employment relations

  • Supporting Managers to determine resource requirements and make resourcing decisions

  • Helping Managers create an environment that is conducive to employee engagement

  • Executing restructuring programmes, whilst maximising opportunities for the redeployment of talent

  • Participate and provide guidance in change projects”

  • Responsible for the full recruitment process from interview stage to final offer stage, including international transfers and assignments across all levels (including senior leadership roles)

  • Working closely with the Switzerland HR Business Advisory and HR Operations team as well as the Head of HR Switzerland, to identify continuous improvement opportunities, drive process change and create efficiencies across the function

  • Support the delivery of the HR Strategy in Development and Talent Management in alignment with global guidelines

  • Represent HR in various councils and Operational/Executive Committees

  • Manage projects in support of business and HR priorities

  • Lead one of the core HR processes for Switzerland, e.g. Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition or International Mobility

  • Strong collaboration and partnership with global and local HR functions (Talent Acquisition, Reward, Transaction Management, Payroll) to ensure high quality client support and HR delivery


 


 


Skills and Qualifications:



  • Appropriate business education and HR certification

  • 8+ years of experience as HR Business Advisor, or similar role, with an international, dynamic and global matrix organization in Human Resources.

  • Experience in process design and HR Operations (desirable)

  • Ability to quickly become the key trusted advisor to the management teams to establish and maintain positive and strong work relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Strong business insight with a strategic, analytical and operational perspective and the capability to quickly understand business strategy and HR implications

  • Confirmed ability to challenge the status quo, build new ideas and support managers through change

  • Combined analytical and consulting skills with a comfort and flexibility level to work with all levels the organization including senior management. Exceptional communication skills

  • Strong knowledge and experience of HR standard methodologies in performance management, recruitment, compensation, policy /procedure development, organizational design, training and development, Employee Relations

  • Sound Knowledge of Switzerland Employment Law, Swiss regulations and practices

  • Pragmatic personality who can deal with ambiguity, negotiate compromises and is able to deliver practical and creative HR solutions to meet business challenges

  • Project experience and ability to take the lead for the coordination of one of the core HR processes for Switzerland, e.g. Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition or International Mobility

  • Capability to easily cope within an environment in constant change

  • Fluency in English and German, additional languages are a plus

  • Strong team player

  • Ability to operate independently and thrive within a global team

  • Proficiency with MS Office (focus on excel a strong plus), Outlook, Workday (desirable)
