Job Description

Hexagon Mining develops safety and automation systems for heavy vehicles used mainly in open-pit mining. Our solutions allow the safe operation of these complex machines in hazardous environments, reducing the danger to the operator. Our products integrate a variety of technologies including satellite navigation, digital radio, radar, cameras and sophisticated algorithms to improve vehicle safety. It employs approx. 100 R&D staff in several international locations.

Embedded Software Engineer (f/m) 
(Baar, Switzerland) 

LIFE @ Hexagon Mining 

• Design and develop the next-generation solutions for our collision avoidance system


• Design and implement communication protocols for numerous applications, ranging from real-time control to wireless networking, and many more


• Develop low-level drivers for sensors, actuation systems and other components


• Collaborate closely with the algorithms, hardware, server and support-tools development teams to realize integrated new solutions


• Assist the product-introduction team with product validation in remote locations


• Support the product during its entire life cycle


• Bring in ideas to further development
