System Integration Expert (Electrification)
Responsibilities
Electrical and logical integration of distributed energy resources, active loads, energy storage units, and converters to the WinGD Hybrid Propulsion System.
Refine high-level requirements into implementable and verifiable work packages; Define acceptance test specifications including acceptance criteria.
Selection and specification of electromechanical components, based on business- and technical requirements.
High-level design, selection, and application of AC and DC electric power grids for marine installation, including protection and control devices; ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Follow up on actual and future classification requirements relevant for area of expertise.
Contribute to definition of system power management algorithms.
Prepare the associated technical documentation.
Collaboration with simulation, design, and testing teams.
Coordination with external suppliers and development partners.
Requirements
Education:
MSc in electrical engineering
Experience:
At least 5 years’ experience in engineering and integration of electrical power systems up to 1kV
Solid knowledge in the field of microgrids design, implementation, operation strategies, and testing
Familiar with electrical machines’ and converters’ technologies, able to select the most appropriate ones to fulfil given requirements
Familiar with state-of-the-art HiL systems and test methods
Familiar with relevant norms and standards, such as EEEI, IEC
Previous experience in the marine industry is a plus
Desired Skills:

Matlab/Simulink programming skills
Basic project planning and management skills
Team player, yet able to work independently
Enjoying working in multicultural environment
Good command of English (must) and German (desired)
