The LHG Payment Solutions position is based in Zurich and reports to the Lufthansa Group (LHG) Head of Payment within the area of LHG Distribution Hub Airlines.


The field of Payments plays a strong role in the global airline e-commerce and distribution environment. Be it in the B2C sector, where consumers want to use their preferred payment method or in the B2B area, where corporate customers or distribution partners have preferences to manage their cash flow and risk. As a result, the global payment market is continuously developing new payment solutions.


The Payment Solutions Indirect Sales responsible incorporates these developments in the field of Indirect Sales and new distribution channels (Direct Connect/Aggregator) through offering customers relevant payment methods while ensuring efficiency and security. The role has strong internal interfaces towards Global Field Sales, Finance Risk Management and AirPlus to optimize payment processes in Indirect Sales and further leverage LHG assets.


                                                                                                


Your duties



  • Conceptualize, define and manage a structured framework for LHGs payment capability portfolio in the field of Indirect Sales and new distribution channels

  • Lead optimization and implementation projects and solution design for new payment related processes, providers and/or solutions

  • Lead contract (re-)negotiation with providers of payment solutions

  • Optimize payment process while incorporating need for revenue growth, manage financial risk and optimizing payment cost

  • Participate in the development and implementation of global payment steering projects

  • Responsible for Budget planning, monitoring and reporting

  • Consolidate market trends (scouting) and needs for payment solutions in the area of responsibility

  • Ensure proper external and internal communication of LHGs payment policy in close coordination with global sales while incorporating market trends and developments


Your profile



  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Marketing, Economics or Finance

  • Proven Project management skills

  • Conceptual capabilities

  • Strong communication skills

  • Experiences in negotiations and/or provider management with international providers

  • Broad expertise in commercial aviation processes

  • Solution oriented approach

  • Expert knowledge of payment solutions and Payment Eco System (e.g. background in finance/banking industry)

  • Experience in Business / IT alignment, i.e. integration of payment solutions

  • High willingness to travel
