Job description

The highly dedicated, multi-disciplined team at MP is committed to developing breakthrough medicines for serious diseases.

This interesting and diverse role will include the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Building and keeping scientific content expertise in pipeline projects and the oncology focus area


• Guidance and development of projects up to IND submission


• Planning, execution and decision making in projects together with the co-project leader (DARPin® technology expert)


• Development and initiation of new project ideas


• Coordinate biological content related project activities


• Data quality of biological activities within project teams


• Support project team members to plan experiments appropriately to achieve project goals


• Responsible for biological content project documentation and communication


• Effectively lead, motivate and engage project team members

Requirements

For this challenging position, we are looking for a highly motivated individual with a Ph.D. in biology or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification, with a minimum 4 years of relevant experience in oncology research. Experience in pharmaceutical industry or Biotech drug discovery and development is a plus. You should further bring along:

• Excellent understanding of challenges and problems in cancer and cancer immune therapy


• Expert knowledge in cell biology and pharmacology including some hands-on experience allowing you to plan experimental work and to interpret the data in a brought context


• Strategic thinking and operational know-how


• Experience in working in teams and to guide teams


• Ability to develop new project ideas and to design critical experiment to verify and falsify hypotheses


• Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills


• An accurate and independent working style
  Sound oral and written English is a must


• A passion  for live applied, goal-oriented science
