The Nestlé Product Technology Centre Beverage in Orbe is the leading Nestlé Coffee and Beverages Competence Centre that develops products and production processes for in-home and out-of-home consumption. The product category departments consists of units in Konolfingen, Marysville, Orbe and Singapore and provide new products and processes to all Nestlé markets worldwide. They are the owner of the science and technology roadmaps for its category.

We are looking for a Global Green Coffee Champion that will lead the development and application of Green Coffee Expertise ensuring Nestlé coffee-businesses are leading innovators within the coffee category.
Key responsibilities
Inspire the organization with passion for coffee and coffee expertise direct and indirectly
Co-develop the global standards for green coffee management, including oversight and maintenance of sensory references and standards
Lead the green coffee expertise management within the NPTC organization and support the global network of Nescafé green coffee champions
Lead of NPTC coffee expertise among all Nestlé coffee businesses and partnerships
Provide technical expertise and support to the global coffee business at Nestlé for strategic and project based activities, incl. matching green coffee to new coffee concepts and product development
Lead interface for R&D and Procurement activities relating to Green Coffee
Representation of Nestlé in external/industry green coffee organizations
Education and experience
5 to 10 years minimum working experience in green coffee trading, procurement, commercial or industry roles – with mainstream and specialty coffees
Strong knowledge in pre and post-harvesting techniques, coffee origins and regions
Strong green coffee sensory skills
Ability to rapidly comprehend technical information linked to coffee, and to turn complex coffee knowledge into simple compelling stories
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Pedagogical skills, strategic and pragmatic thinking, very creative execution
Project management or product development experience
Native or equivalent level in English
