We are looking for an intern for a period of 3 months renewable (part time possible) to conduct a research project involving the Credit Risk assessment and Portfolio Management units.


Requirements


Job description



  • Analysis of the impact of country risk and social performance factors on the credit risk level of Symbiotics investments

  • Compile country risk indicators for the investment universe and lifespan of Symbiotics

  • Compile social performance indicators on Symbiotics investments

  • Explore predictive power of compiled variables on historical defaults, using different statistical methods

  • Propose various predictive models and rank them on their relevance for Symbiotics

  • Deliver report highlighting key findings regarding relations between country risk metrics, social performance metrics and observed defaults

  • Provide recommendations on potential enhancements of investment decision process


Skills and qualifications



  • Currently enrolled in an advanced degree in applied mathematics and statistics (Master or PhD)

  • Data analysis skillset: R, Python, SQL and database management

  • Some experience of data sourcing through APIs

  • Strong analytic and quantitative skills

  • Excellent command MS Office (especially Excel and VBA)

  • Proactive and able to work independently

  • Solid interpersonal communicative and presentation skills

  • Interest in Impact Investing, Development finance, International Development

  • Ability and interest to work in multicultural environment

  • Swiss/EU National or valid Swiss Work Permit
