Job Responsibilities

• Perform biology experiments independently according to instructions


• Generate and maintain recombinant cell lines


• Document experiments in an electronic laboratory journal


• Write reports in collaboration with colleagues and/or supervisor


• Evaluate and analyze screening data by using different software programs


• Maintain lab and equipment operational, clean and safe according to company rules and regulations


• Perform assays and analyze data independently


• Interpretation of results, followed by discussion with supervisor


• Retrieve information from literature to compare experimental methods


• Present results in lab team, group and project meetings as basis for decisions and to foster discussion

Candidate’s Requirements

• Apprenticeship as laboratory technician in biology with additional BSc or MS of a Swiss “Fachhochschule” or equivalent education in biological science with a BSc/MS diploma from a university


• Some industry experience in a relevant area is an asset, preferably with an immunology background


• Willingness to learn new skills and techniques


• Good communication skills


• Good command of written and oral English


• German and/or French is an asset


• Good basic computer knowledge


• Good knowledge of standard software and interest in computer supported processes


• Ability to plan, perform, analyze and accurately document experiments with minimal supervision


• Ability and flexibility to work independently in a small team


• Dynamic, flexible, scientifically curious and willing to learn
