Job Responsibilities


 



  • Collaborate with other research functions on research projects aimed at developing new medicines active on ion channels

  • Explore the electrophysiological actions of various new chemical entities, related to their therapeutic efficacy or possible side-effects

  • Propose and initiate research on new therapeutic targets

  • Full responsibility of experimental studies and writing the necessary authorization needed to perform the scientific work

  • Collaborating and communicating with internal and external researchers

  • Writing experimental protocols and perform quality checks and sealing of electronic journals

  • Presenting the results of the scientific work to internal and/or external audiences, defending the results, arguing and taking responsibility

  • Being involved in several research projects at the same time

  • Contributing to the discovery of novel medicines within a multidisciplinary team

  • Challenging status quo of projects/techniques and approaches, looking for new ways



 Candidate’s Requirements


 



  • M.D., Pharm.D, Vet.D., or Ph.D. in biological sciences, chemistry, physics, or engineering 

  • Several years of experience in in-vitro electrophysiology methods

  • In-depth knowledge of neuro-electrophysiology

  • Experience in training and supervising technical associates

  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

  • Understanding of the Drug Discovery processes

  • Good communication and networking skills, flexible mindset
