Project description
OEMs are looking for low «odor» and sustainable packaging solutions for consumers. Efforts to reduce odor have been taken along the value chain and more development is expected. Trinseo, as a leading Latex Binder supplier to the paper and board industry, sees these evolving needs as an opportunity to do its share in contributing to better solutions.
The objective of the project is to define and implement an evaluation criteria relevant for Trinseo to develop sustainable and low odor products. The candidate will initially conduct a market research to identify key application areas sensitive to odor. The main application tests are identified and the decision drivers understood. Subsequently the candidate will develop and validate the criteria for latex. In this work the candidate can take advantage of the close collaboration with sales, marketing, R&D and external partner(s). The Pilot Coater facility (Samstagern, CH) is well-equipped to run application trials.
