Job summary


The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Key Account Manager with experience in information technology (IT) solutions selling to join us in Lausanne, Switzerland. In this role, you'll be assigned specific key enterprise accounts and will be responsible for developing key account plans and carrying them out. You'll build new relationships and expand business with existing customers within your assigned accounts while meeting assigned sales quotas. As a Key Account Manager, you'll need to be a native speaker of French language and a fluent speaker of English. Additional skills in German language would be appreciated.


Primary job responsibilities



  • Successfully sell Red Hat's solutions and services to prominent enterprise accounts

  • Establish partnerships with our customers on different levels of their organization, learn to understand their business needs, and present solutions that address these needs

  • Create strategic plans to develop new accounts and expand existing ones

  • Represent Red Hat to the customer and vice versa in all sales-related matters

  • Understand business and offerings requirements, as well as industry challenges of our customers

  • Meet assigned sales quotas

  • Work collaboratively with solutions architects, overlay structures, and inside sales representatives


Required skills



  • 5+ years of experience selling complex IT solutions to large organizations and multiple decision makers

  • Proven record of establishing long-lasting customer relationships that have expanded business

  • Excellent communication and technical skills to develop relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels

  • Strategic mindset with a background in developing account strategies

  • Good people management skills; ability to create a vision for your accounts and inspire your team to help make it a reality

  • Proactive approach toward offerings, markets, and customer business challenges

  • Good understanding of IT and data center challenges and solutions

  • Focused on building solid and trusted relationships with customers

  • Native German and fluent English language skills, both written and verbal
