Description

 

The Strategic Transformation Manager works closely with Cargill’s Chief Transformation Officer, Executive Team and other senior business leaders to develop and lead high-impact, high-value pilot projects at corporate, regional, and unit levels that will be operationalized across Cargill upon completion. This position partners with Cargill leadership to develop winning models that drive sustained, profitable growth in an increasingly dynamic Food & Agriculture environment.

 

This role will connect Cargill-wide capabilities and resources in ways that allow us to develop strategic, scalable business models that can be then deployed across business lines and global markets. Combined, your contributions will help Cargill accelerate our transformation progress, reach new levels of success, and win more with our customers.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Work with project co-sponsors to source, manage, and drive a global corporate roadmap of transformation pilots

  • Operationalize transformation pilots in ways that allow us to reimagine and reinvent how we work, establish new and more capabilities, accelerate transformation progress, and bring significant value to Cargill

  • Execute on pilots in an agile manner, developing frameworks that can be replicated across the corporation

  • Apply business acumen & program management expertise to pilot development in order to lead teams to new solutions for Cargill

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and guidance to Transformation stakeholders; motivate team members to ‘reach higher’; and promote delivery in line with corporate objectives

  • Perform problem solving activities such as opportunity sizing, new model development, and creative solutioning

  • Engage and align stakeholders to promote timely action, commitment, and adherence to accountabilities


Qualifications

 

Required  



  • 5 years of experience in project strategy and development within a corporation or leading consulting firm

  • 5 years of experience leading teams and senior-level engagements

  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills, program management expertise, and business acumen

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High sense of accountability, strong will to succeed, demonstrated desire to learn, and pragmatism

  • Ability to travel, potentially up to 30-50% when necessary for a pilot project

  • Bachelor’s degree


Preferred 

  • Master’s / MBA from a top-tier university

  • Knowledge of Agile processes, project management standards, and process improvement methodologies

  • Able to work from an established Cargill hub
