Are you looking for an exciting position as a Senior Reinsurance Financial Accounting Specialist? We have the unique opportunity for you to join our motivated team within Credit Suisse Insurance Linked Strategies Ltd as an experienced Financial Consultant, based in Zurich. You will be working very closely with the front office, COO department as well as the fund administrator and reinsurance managers. The role offers you to learn from a team with varied strengths and broad possibilities to build your career.

 

• You will collaborate with internal and external partners to define and drive the development of the financial and technical reinsurance accounting capabilities from an oversight perspective


• Especially you will liaise with external service providers to enhance and develop the financial and management reporting capabilities across the funds, risk transformers and portfolio companies to meet new reporting standards (Solvency II, IFRS, US GAAP)


• Enhance business intelligence and analytics, financial and management reporting capabilities with the use of advanced excel/VBA techniques to prototype solutions and implement advanced and automated reconciliation and reporting procedures


• You prepare senior management MIS and financial presentations and reports


• Re-design and transform the daily and monthly reconciliation and financial controlling and reporting procedures with fund administrator, risk transformers and portfolio companies


• Develop and maintain new MIS data, analytics and tools incl. trend reports, counterparty management scorecards and quality and profitability analytics and reporting


• Support the creation and embedding of a continuous culture of improvement, innovation, collaboration and partnership to deliver excellence 

 

You Offer

 

• You possess a University degree or a similar education, preferably with a charter in financial accounting as well as at least 5 years’ experience in leading financial accounting programs in the reinsurance industry as consultant or auditor


• You have a successful track record in working with new reporting standards such as Solvency II, IFRS and US GAAP


• Strong strategic, technical and conceptual thinking capabilities with a practical mindset to drive the financial accounting and MIS reporting transformation of the platform at all flight levels


• Affinity and experience in business intelligence and advanced analytics and reporting capabilities


• Your excellent analytical and quantitative skills make you an expert in taking on complex issues and executing initiatives in a large organization


• You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and can-do attitude


• Ability to work with a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial environment


• You see yourself as a highly motivated technical leader with the ability to inspire your colleagues to extraordinary performance


• Excellent communications skills and ability to foster consensus in decisional processes, also for challenging and complex initiative


• You are fluent in English, German is an asset


• If you have SICS experience, this is a plus
