To further expand our business, we are looking for a flexible and solution-oriented:


Customer Service and Application Scientist (100%)


 


Your tasks will comprise



  • On-site installations of new products, maintenance at existing customers, conducting scientific training and product presentations during seminars and conferences (travel will be up to 40% of your work time)

  • Supporting the customer service ticketing system

  • Supporting production of our high-end analytical instruments

  • Giving feedback and contributing to the continuous improvement of our products

  • Preparation of application notes to develop new markets for our products


Your profile



  • Advanced degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or a related subject

  • Customer & result oriented attitude and willingness to go the extra mile

  • Good technical hands-on skills

  • Excellent communication and social skills (English mandatory, additional languages are a plus)

  • Independent on-site problem solving and decision making (Field Service Engineer)

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Confident enough to make independent accountable choices within your area of responsibilities


Useful Experience



  • Field service experience within related industries

  • Optics, Mechatronics, Electronics, Laser Physics, Photonics, Spectroscopy, NiR, Material Science, Particle Characterization, Scientist, R&D

  • Experience with scattering techniques, soft matter physics, polymer or protein science and/or rheology

  • Scientific Instrumentation

  • Experience in PC configuration and software (MATLAB, LabVIEW)

This is your chance to take a leading role in our sales and marketing activities. Our products are complex scientific instruments that are based on light scattering technologies.


This role provides a unique opportunity for career growth and participation in strategic planning for our company. You will be working closely with the CEO in refining and executing the marketing strategy. The role involves communication with an international network of distributors as well as our team of scientists, engineers, and technicians located in Fribourg. The position will require some travel due to our highly globalized market, but never more than 25% international travel in any one month.

You will be responsible for:



  • Expanding and refining both digital and print marketing content/material

  • Advancing our marketing aims via our global distributor network

  • Digital marketing though Social-Media and our Webpage

  • Actively arranging demos, presentations, and conference calls

  • Organizing exhibitions at trade shows and scientific conferences

  • Managing and growing our customer database using our CRM system

  • Improving branding, corporate image, and public relations


Useful Experience or Qualifications:



  • Experience in marketing and/or sales of scientific instruments

  • A degree in marketing, sales or a related discipline

  • A Ph.D. or Masters in the field of rheology, soft matter physics, colloidal chemistry or related

  • Experience in operating analytical laboratory instrumentation

  • Experience in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, biotechnology, or materials industry

  • Placing content on Webpages and Social Media

  • Multimedia conception and deployment (3D animations, video production, webinars, etc)

  • Experience with Hubspot

  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization and Advertisement (SEO & SEA)

  • Experience with Google Ads or Google Analytics


Languages: English required. German and/or French advantageous
