Product Owner Mobile Applications

The Product Owner (PO) for Mobile Applications at SWISS works in a cross-airline, multi-location based, virtual and agile product set-up. The main tasks are managing the product backlog according to business priorities and supporting all SCRUM activities for sprint preparation and execution. The PO will also be responsible to manage and write user stories; support and realize business, as well as technical analysis; to understand and contribute to conceptual work on UX and on the technical side, with a high user centered and business oriented affinity. This position reports directly to the Team Lead Mobile Apps SWISS & Mobile Coordinator LHG Hub Airlines within the Online Sales Products & Services department. It is located in Zurich-Kloten at the SWISS headquarters.


 


Your Duties



  • Actively manage and prioritize the product backlog in close collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to assure maximizing the business value of the product

  • Report on progress and business value to the Chief Product Owner (CPO) on Commerce and IT side

  • Actively contribute to all scrum activities within a sprint and in preparation of a sprint

  • Manage Epic and User Story creation with your PO counterparts, Business Analysts as well as IT, UX & Design experts, architects and developers

  • Assure the integration of functional and non-functional inputs of collaborating departments into the backlog in alignment with the division and product strategy

  • Write and review user stories and assure quality of description, restrictions, requirements, dependencies, assumptions and acceptance criteria

  • Assure the value understanding of Features, Epics and User Stories for stakeholders, managers as well as team members


Your profile



  • Higher education or university degree in product management, e-commerce management, user centered design or airline- and travel industry

  • Three years of experience as a product owner within an agile environment

  • Three years of experience as a business analyst proving strong analytical skills with high attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to speak effectively to clients and internal teams

  • Experienced at and willing to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment while being able to drive assigned topics individually

  • Positive attitude, solution oriented and willing to work in a dynamic environment

  • Stress tolerance and willingness to travel

  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and German
