Who We Are

At Roche, over 90,000 people across 150 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare. Working together, we’ve become one of the world’s leading research-focused healthcare groups. Our success is built on innovation, curiosity and diversity.

Roche's Pharma Research and Early Development Informatics team is the bridge between digital technology and science. We help drive medical innovation and are integral to the realisation of truly Personalised Healthcare and the development of innovative treatments for our patients.

Digital tools, such as smartphones or wearables, can now continually measure and collect vital health information – or “Digital Biomarkers” – from Multiple Sclerosis (MS) patients. Digital Biomarkers are changing how future medicines will be developed and could lead to more personalised use of new medications that will transform the lives of MS patients. Advances in wearable devices, such as phones, watches, textiles or delivery devices, which track a patient’s vital signs and monitor for symptoms, all have the potential to vastly accelerate clinical development.

Roche is dedicated to creating community- and regulator-accepted endpoints and outcomes that will redefine the measurement of MS disease progression, and thereby change the understanding of MS as a disease. We’re seeking future-thinking innovators who know how to apply their expertise to help transform MS.

The Position

As a Technical Project Manager for MS you will:

  • Support the Digital Biomarker Software Product Manager in translating solution concepts into detailed requirements for software development

  • Develop project and sprint plans for technology and software solution development

  • Drive the technology and software development for Digital Biomarker solutions in close collaboration with Scientific Technical Managers, test and release managers

  • Support the roll-out and implementation of Digital Biomarker solutions in MS clinical trials by working closely together with Study Teams, Roche affiliates and external research partners. This involves communicating and explaining all aspects of technology, security and data privacy

  • Manage data integration projects with research partners for clinical trials. This involves facilitation of the interaction between technical teams at research partners, Roche technical teams and vendors

  • Continuously prepare and deliver presentations on project status and plans

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a “can-do” attitude, who possesses a very good university degree (MSc level or above) in a scientific or technological discipline and has very strong collaborative interpersonal and communication skills. If you bring as well the following set of skills and expertise listed below, we are looking forward to receiving your application.

  • 5+ years’ experience managing software development projects and maintenance of the resulting ecosystems, including requirements development

  • Excellent track record in managing software development teams in a matrix organization in very complex, agile and competitive environments

  • Real passion for digital innovation in healthcare, and especially for using novel technologies to modernize clinical endpoints and improve disease/treatment management

  • Extensive experience working in a dynamic project-based environment, e.g. in IT consulting

  • Strong hands-on experience with remote patient monitoring solutions or similar data collection solutions (very large amounts of time series data)

  • Focused quality mindset and high attention to detail

  • Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance implications (e.g. GxP, GDPR)

If you have been able to gain as well experience in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry and in supporting clinical operations data management with IT solutions in the past, you are the ideal team member we are looking for.

If you are proud of contributing and feel you have the dedication to teamwork and innovation that we are seeking, then Roche is the organization for you. Every role at Roche plays a part in making a difference to patients’ lives. If you want to work in a passionate team, make your mark & improve lives, apply now.

Roche embraces diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. The more inclusive we are, the better our work will be.
