We are seeking a Data Sharing and Integration Senior Manager to lead a team that is accountable for providing strategy, resources, processes, expertise and oversight in enabling access to documents and patient level datasets generated within Roche clinical trials for use by both internal and external researchers. The key stakeholders for this team being Product Development Medical Affairs (PDMA) and Roche Affiliates.
The Data Sharing and Integration (DSI) function consists of experts in both internal and external clinical trial data sources including (but not limited to) clinical, genetic, gene and protein biomarker and imaging data. They support internal teams and researchers wishing to share patient level data and documentation through: consultancy, clarifying research proposals, partnering to source and prepare information for sharing, establishing Data Sharing Agreements, sharing information and obtaining the outcomes of research where appropriate. The DSI provides a datasets de-identification process and with our colleagues in Biometrics BSO, provides legal templates and support for teams setting up a Data Sharing Agreement.
Oversight of the people, tools and processes to deliver patient level data sharing as defined within the commitments of the Roche Data Sharing Policy and in accordance with agreed KPIs.
Represent Roche in interactions with Key Opinion Leaders and other external groups in partnership with internal stakeholders (e.g. Medical Directors, Medical Managers).
Collaborate with the other functions responsible for delivering on Roche’s data sharing commitments through participation in the Data Sharing Leadership Committee (DSLC), including Regulatory Disclosures and Scientific Communications.
Keep up to date with the evolving data privacy landscape ensuring that Biometrics’ processes are compliant with these changes
Establish a network and connection with individuals and groups across the enterprise who are working in the data privacy area.
Responsible for a team of Data Sharing Consultants and Data Sharing Specialists.
You have a BSc or MSc in statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, bioinformatics, computing or similar areas of academic discipline or a PhD or MSc in a biological discipline, Bioinformatics, Data Science or similar areas of academic discipline. In addition you bring several years of pharmaceutical experience with knowledge of functional contributions and decision-making requirements along a molecule’s journey from conception through the established product phase. Experience of working within Product Development Medical Affairs (PDMA) and established connections to Roche Affiliates would be an advantage. Furthermore, you have/are:
Experience in applying and managing healthcare data in Industry, Academic or Research settings
Experience in managing individual contributors
Good knowledge of English in a business environment
Good communication skills. Diplomatic – awareness of potential impact on company reputation. Able to communicate effectively across the organisation and at all levels
Proven teamwork skills: has a proven track record of working highly effectively, efficiently and collaboratively with others. Has proven experience and skills working with multidisciplinary teams.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to deal positively with new challenges/capabilities required by the company
