We are seeking a motivated operations specialist for the independent, efficient and adequate administration of a highly complex Structured reinsurance portfolio.  

  • Manage a complex reinsurance portfolio with key clients including treaty, accounting and claims handling functions (Non-Life and/or Life)

  • Build a business relationship with internal clients and act as point of contact of “Specialties” underwriting area

  • Lead and manage the related agenda of all accounting, claims and treaty handling topics. Act as an expert on all topics of your area

  • Establish and maintain active communication with internal clients on treaty development and support underwriting actively in developing new products with accounting know-how

  • Manage the estimation process according to accounting standards as IFRS and in close collaboration with internal clients

  • Ensure data quality of quarterly and annual financial statements of your portfolio and comment deviations

  • Manage complex and difficult projects cross-functionally



  • Minimum of 4-5 years in-depth experience with strong skills in technical accounting, claims handling and treaty handling including wording analysis

  • Experience and deep knowledge of reinsurance business

  • Good analytical and organizational skills

  • Winning, engaging and reliable personality and high client responsiveness

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to get things done and work independently and systematically as well as under pressure

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English and German

  • Very good knowledge of SAP FS-RI, Excel and BusinessObjects is of advantage

  • Ability to bring structure into complex issues

  • Willingness to learn continuously
