Job information

Expected start date in position : to be agreed

Contract length : 1 year, renewable 2 x 2 years, maximum 5 years

Activity rate : 100%

Workplace : Department of Biochemistry, Epalinges

Your responsibilities

The concentrations of inorganic phosphate, ATP and ADP determine  the amount of free energy provided by nucleotide triphosphate hydrolysis, a crucial parameter  for driving metabolism  and many cell biological processes. Our work has uncovered parts of an evolutionarily conserved  system implicated in measuring, regulating and buffering intracellular levels of phosphate. The team is now seeking a highly motivated scientist to characterize this fundamental, novel signalling and homeostasis pathway

Your qualifications

Candidates with a PhD, experience and a thorough training in biochemistry, chemistry,  molecular  or cell biology are particularly encouraged to apply. Knowledge of yeast genetics and advanced cellular imaging techniques is advantageous but notessential

What the position offers you

We offer a nice working place in a multicultural, diversified and dynamic academic environment, opportunities for professional training.

Possibilities of continuous training, a lot of activities and other benefits to discover.
