ABB High Voltage Product is renowned worldwide as a specialist for power transmission and distribution. As a Local Business Unit of High Voltage Products, Supply Chain Management is responsible for the entire Logistics and Procurement process of our products within Gas Insulated Switchgear, Generator Circuit Breaker, Surge Arresters and Insulation Components. We currently have an opening for a Supplier Development Engineer, who will be responsible for qualifying existing and potential suppliers of direct materials and services. This will include a wide range of tasks aimed at maintaining the highest possible standards of quality throughout the supply chain. Aufgaben :


- Oversee full range of tasks associated with supplier development, including product monitoring at suppliers’ production plants and execution of on-site process audits
- Establish and maintain supplier procedures and practices based on global standards and ensure information relevant to supplier management is accessible with ABB tools
- Identify and address supply-side issues relating to quality standards, non-conformities, and services, in addition to supporting suppliers in their efforts to meet ABB requirements
- Review quality-specific documents prepared by suppliers, monitor key performance indicators, and assess 8D reports in support of continuous improvement process
- Ensure full utilization of local systems for reporting and monitoring in order to underpin best-practice approach
- Act as professional mentor and coordinator for vocational training within the assigned area, in addition to assisting with other key tasks


Anforderungen:


- Solid degree in Engineering or comparable qualifications
- Professional experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of process and product audits on supplier site
- Ability to work within an interdisciplinary environment and focus on sustainable solutions
- Good command of German and English, both written and spoken
