Product Manager APIs

Your Responsibilities

The Product Manager position is a part of the Sales & Marketing department, reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer. This position will be responsible for developing, managing and steering Bachem’s API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) portfolio. This includes the launch and marketing of new products as well as lifecycle management of the existing portfolio.

Your Tasks

• Evaluation of new and assessment of existing APIs


• Developing marketing and launch strategies in close collaboration with the Marketing


• Lifecycle management of the existing API portfolio


• Training of the sales teams


• Leading international, multidisciplinary teams


• Developing of evaluation and assessment methodology


• Developing and monitoring of execution of exit strategies


• Participate at selected trade shows and customer/project meetings

Your Profile

• Master in Chemistry, Pharmacy or Life Sciences


• Profound knowledge of the pharmaceutical and/or generics industry


• Ability to lead international teams in a matrix structure


• 3-5 years experience in sales of APIs or Product Management or Project Management


• Very strong in conceptual work and analytical thinking


• Proficient in compiling and holding presentations


• Fluent in English, German and French are beneficial


• Experience in regulatory questions is advantageous
