Senior Research Associate

As a Senior Research Associate in Science & Technology, in the Flavour Delivery group, of Givaudan’s Flavours Division you contribute to the development of research methods and project/task planning, summarize and interpret data and test results, draw conclusions for project discussions and presentations, and operate and maintain laboratory and pilot size equipment in the area of flavour encapsulation.

  • Operational Excellence:
    You will operate and maintain encapsulation equipment and analytical devices. Additionally you will run experiments, product characterisation and stability tests to support short and long term research, commercial innovation and operations projects. Hereby you take as well the responsibility of the project planning and reporting results.


 



  • Infrastructure and stock management:
    You will maintain lab infrastructure, manage stock of raw materials, packaging materials and spare parts to ensure fully operational infrastructure for running experiments and trials.


 



  • Innovation creation:
    Actively participating in Innovation Communities, reading technical literature and patents, using room for trying own ideas and experiments and proposing related activities.

  • Master in Food Science, Process Technology or highly experienced /qualified food or beverage technologist, experience in process technology, beverage emulsion and/or analytical methods used in the flavour, food and related industries

  • Practical working skills and enthusiasm for hands-on activities (running tests and experiments, operating, cleaning and maintaining pilot plant and pilot plant equipment)

  • Entrepreneurial spirit, able to think out of the box and develop and explore new and unprecedented routes towards technical solutions

  • Project planning and reporting skills

  • Good German and English skills (oral and written)

  • Communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environment, team player

  • Learning agility
