Tactical Supplier Specialist Region APAC

More than 7,000 different products are purchased annually at the Buchs location. In this exciting challenge, you are responsible for the support of a selected supplier portfolio in the Chinese market and act as a competent partner for the procurement of third-party components. You are responsible for both tactical and operational procurement. When managing purchasing processes, you work closely with our global purchasing department, always keeping our KPIs in focus. To ensure the achievement of our goals and provide our customers with an excellent level of service, you conduct sustainable risk and supplier management. When implementing the chosen procurement strategy, you work in a structured manner with various internal departments such as bottling, quality, production etc. and achieve a high level of delivery to optimal conditions.

Your qualification:

• Completed basic university education, preferably in chemistry


• Extensive professional experience (at least 5 years) in purchasing with in-depth knowledge of the Asian procurement market, preferably in the chemical industry


• Proven knowledge of the Chinese culture and use of intercultural skills


• Comprehensive knowledge in the implementation of procurement strategies and know-how in efficient warehouse management


• Very good user knowledge in SAP and MS Office (Excel & Access)


• Enjoy the field of purchasing with a high degree of independence and initiative as well as a committed, responsible and team-oriented personality


• Good level of English (minimum Cambridge Advanced Level), Chinese (minimum HSK Level 5-6) and German (basic)
