DevOps / System Engineer

To reinforce our IT team for the development of Comfone’s new DMS service we are seeking an
experienced

DevOps / System Engineer – (m/f) 80-100%
to join us immediately or by agreement

Your main tasks
In this challenging position you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Develop and operate Comfone’s new Data Management Service (big data mining service)


• Operate and optimize technical processes for the acquisition of data at Customer premises for
  processing on a state of the art private virtualized server infrastructure


• As member of the IT team, contribute to the capacity planning and operation of Comfone’s IT
  services to achieve five-nines availability and maintain the highest security standards


• 3rd level internal on-call duty service to support Comfone’s IT services

Your ideal profile

• Engineering degree in IT or software


• Experience with Linux (CentOS) and shell scripting is required


• Experience with databases (Oracle, MongoDB), virtualization (VMWare) and container
  virtualization (Kubernetes, OpenShift), orchestration and automation (Ansible) is a plus


• Knowledge in software programming and IP networks is a plus


• Experience in large scale deployment and operation of physical servers at customer premises
  (CPEs) is a plus


• Good knowledge of the English language (written and oral). Extra languages are an asset


• Dynamic, communicative and reliable personality


• You are willing to work in Bern, Switzerland


• The position is open to Swiss and EU nationals, and to holder of a valid Swiss work permit
