Your Role  

As a member of the Group Re & ZGEBS Life Actuarial Team, you will be involved in a range of actuarial topics relating to the management of the Zurich Group life reinsurance portfolio.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of actuarial work, interact closely with other functions and add value to the business.


 

As a (Senior) Actuarial Analyst your main responsibilities will involve:


 



  • Actuarial reporting for life reinsurance (MCEV, NBV, IFRS, SST)

  • Improvements to the regular reporting processes

  • Actuarial assumption setting

  • Drive improvements to data quality

  • Performance monitoring of the life reinsurance portfolio

  • Supporting the underwriting and pricing functions

  • Support the IFRS17 project


Your Skills and Experience
 

As a (Senior) Actuarial Analyst your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

 

  • Progress towards an actuarial qualification (e.g. SAV, DAV, SOA, FIA).

  • Strong analytic/numerate background.

  • Ideally 2-5 years’ work experience gained in life insurance or reinsurance.

  • Experience with pricing and/or valuation of life and disability protection products

  • Good understanding of key financial reporting standards (IFRS, local stat., MCEV, risk analysis).

  • Innovative mind-set.

  • Enthusiasm for working in a dynamic international environment

  • Good communication skills in English. German in addition is an advantage.

  • Good knowledge of Excel, VBA and Access.
