Safra Sarasin depends on the enthusiasm and commitment of every one of its employees worldwide.DivisionCorporate Center & LogisticsFunction/PositionSuitability ExpertLocationZurich or BaselFunction/Position objectivesYour are part of the Regulatory Solutions team and in this function understand the impact of current and future regulations on the Bank, especially in the area of investor protection with a focus on client and product suitability in Switzerland and Europe but also other global regions of the bank. You will support the Bank's Suitability Competence Center team and in this role act as subject matter expert on Suitability and service provider to the front units. You will work closely with various functions and specialists within the Bank (e.g. Legal, Compliance, IT, Operations). The role will involve high business exposure and management visibility.Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for Suitability related tasks including daily management of requests from client relationship managers and monitoring and reporting of issues.

  • Support the identification of relevant risks and the introduction and execution of respective controls and procedures. Assist in defining and rolling out appropriate training measures.

  • Support the development of the Bank's Suitability framework and identify areas for improvement regarding processes, systems, controls, and reporting.

  • Maintain the Bank's system-based rule set for regulatory & business order validations.

  • Establish an effective working relationship and ensure on-going close interaction with Bank's front units to raise awareness on Suitability topics.

  • Support the roll-out of the Bank's Suitability principles and standards to further entities in Switzerland and international locations.

  • Prepare analyses, assessments, reports and presentations for senior management.

Profiles

  • University education in business, economics, law or information technology (or equivalent education) preferable, however not mandatory.

  • At least 3 years relevant experience in a banking or consultancy environment (e.g. in Legal, Compliance, Regulatory, Business Analysis or Projects departments).

  • Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Avaloq knowledge and/or visual basic scripting skills preferable, however not mandatory.

  • Practical experience in interaction with front units preferable, however not mandatory.

  • Excellent oral and writing skills in English and German, good communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment and relevant developments in the banking industry with a focus on regulation an advantage.

  • Ability to prioritize, organize own work and good interpersonal skills are essential. Hands-on working attitude, combining reliability, accuracy, and pragmatism.
