Join us in a new role as the EMEA Head of Medical Market Development at Amazon Web Services. Focusing on the EMEA healthcare sector, you will have the exciting opportunity to leverage the richness of the AWS cloud computing platform to position and drive the right technology solutions, enable the ecosystem, and address changing industry needs.
Your responsibilities will include advising AWS business and technical leaders to craft our healthcare industry strategy and communicating that to customers and partners through in person and digital/social channels. You will be the credible voice representing AWS to the external healthcare community and translating the capabilities of AWS cloud computing for our customers. You will also contribute to the understanding of the needs of the healthcare market and customers to our sales, technical and leadership team. You will work closely with the product/service teams to help them evolve the products/services and address issues, concerns, and requests from the field.
The ideal candidate will possess a clinical background with expertise in healthcare delivery, systems of care, and/or research initiatives. It would be preferred if he/she also had experience in driving a digital transformation initiative across a health agency or government organization. He/she will possess experience in driving engagements and interacting at the CxO level. He/she should also have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically about product, and technical challenges, with the ability to build and convey compelling value propositions, and work cross-organizationally to build consensus. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and delivering results is a must.
Position can be based in Luxembourg or other AWS Europe hub (e.g. London, Paris, Munich, Madrid, Milan)
· The right person will be a clinician or researcher with at least 15 years of experience in healthcare delivery or medical research.
· Demonstrated thought leadership in the EMEA healthcare community through publications, presentations and social media presence.
· Strong leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
· Excellent communication and writing skills and significant experience in managing relationships with client CxO level.
· Relevant technical knowledge is helpful, such as: fundamentals of cloud computing, storage systems, IOT, machine learning, etc. with ability to understand appropriate value propositions for medical industry.
· 5-10 years of experience in driving digital transformation initiatives in the medical industry (in addition to the required clinicial / research background) with depth in one or more application areas (genomics, bioinformatics, electronic health systems, etc.).
· Self-motivated with a great sense of urgency and follow-through.
· A good understanding of government/healthcare procurement and healthcare-specific data classification and compliance requirements is beneficial.
· Experience in developing and executing technical strategy across a multi-country geography.
· Acts in accordance with vision, mission, and established goals.
