Avanade is utilizing the next generation cloud platform technologies to build differentiating digital experiences for our customer. We are looking for an exceptional marketing technology platform architect with deep experience designing large systems using experience, cloud and big data technologies. Candidates will collaborate with architects and technologists across Avanade to design experience platforms that can handle billions of transactions and manage petabytes of data. This is a senior global position, must have experience building systems of similar scale, preferably in the ad tech, digital marketing, commerce or CRM spaces.

• Experience designing scalable, cloud based architectures (billions of transactions per month, petabytes of storage)


• Experience building developer-oriented interfaces and systems (APIs, SDKs, etc)


• Outstanding communication and leadership skills, ability to collaborate across teams and build consensus. (“Lone wolfs" need not apply!)


• This is not primarily a coding position, but candidates must be experienced technologists, help build business-first technology enabled uses cases and drive software lifecycles.


• Strong prototyping skills

• 12+ years of experience in software and technology


• Masters degree in Math, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent working experience


• Avanade is global, travel required

Exceptional candidates will have one or more of the following:

• Domain knowledge in digital marketing, ad tech, or CRM (Dynamics preferred)


• Experience with digital experience platforms (Adobe required, Sitecore and others optional)


• Experience in the design and build of high-availability domain architectures and solutions


• Experience with distributed systems technology (Hadoop, message queuing/Kafka)


• Experience with analytics and reporting technology (Druid, Spark)


• Experience with machine learning technology (Azure ML, Spark MLLib, TensorFlow)


• Experience with streaming data technology (CDNSpark Streaming, Flink)


• Experience in data science (data analysis, algorithms, model design)


• Experience with Azure Cloud Services
