Great opportunity for a technical DevOps specialist in Zurich, Switzerland. This contracting position is running initially till the end of the year and will get renewed up to possibly several years. As the DevOps lead Architect and Developer your responsibilities cover: - Innovate strategic solutions within the DevOps space with a focus on CI / CD (Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment) - Design and develop enterprise grade applications applying DevOps practices - Maintain and develop a strategic development platform focusing on improving scalability, reliability, performance and resilience - Provide technical expertise for the community and collaborate with other engineering teams to across the client - Act as the DevOps subject matter expert for the developer community and other stakeholders
Skills needed: - Expert level understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI / CD) - Excellent understanding in setting up, maintaining and evolving CI servers such as TeamCity, Jenkins, GitLab, Travis, Concourse, Azure DevOps - Excellent application development background ideally in one of the following languages Java / .net / C++ / Golang / Rust and associated build tools - Strong capability to design highly available, scalable and resilient systems - Expert level understanding of observability designs, ideally running and operating monitoring infrastructure in production - Strong knowledge of installing, maintaining and monitoring Java applications on Linux and/or Windows - Very good understanding of Infrastructure as code patterns and practices and tooling to support them - Deep understanding of virtualisation and container technology and associated platforms (such as Docker, K8s…), ideally running production workload - Proficient skills debugging and performance tuning Linux/Windows based applications - Expertise with scripting languages such as Python / Shell / Powershell Additional skills preferred: - German - Working experience with serverless technologies - Previous experience with MS Azure cloud
